Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today not to mourn men, but to acknowledge eras.
And before anyone panics, yes, she's already done the legal bit. Signed, sealed, legally binding. So everything I'm about to say is now completely irreversible.
No real names will be spoken. We're classier than that. But we are in fashion. So instead, we'll be giving them the only thing they ever truly deserved. A rebrand.
Today we say goodbye to the back catalogue. The collection. The seasonal lineup that, in hindsight, should never have made it past the sample stage.
Let's review the range.
Microsoft. Micro. And soft.
Calvin Klein. All packaging, nothing inside.
Snapchat. Gone in twenty-four hours.
Forever 21. Emotionally, still 21. Permanently.
Topshop. Peaked early, then quietly went under.
Prada. The devil wore him.
Toys R Us. The childhood classic. A nostalgic favourite that just doesn't quite work as an adult.
Gucci. All show, fully maxed out. Financially and emotionally.
Amazon. Prime energy, zero commitment. Always "arriving soon," never actually turned up.
Vinted. Her first love. Gently used, then passed straight to her best friend.
Uber. Everyone got a ride.
A stunning collection. A masterpiece of poor decision-making. We thank them, sincerely, for their service.
Because without that back catalogue, we would not have today.
Then came Monaco. The Grand Prix. The plot twist.
She met Ben. And she just knew.
No drama. No mess. Just patience, certainty, and nightly phone calls. Because when Carlotta feels something real, she doesn't panic. She commits. Even if it means 50/50 long distance. Even if it means airports. Even if it means trusting someone completely.
We also honour, respectfully, her appreciation of a younger man. Ben turned 30 this year. We are proud of him. Carlotta has always been ahead of the curve. Trend forecasting. Talent spotting. Early adoption. Some call it coincidence. We call it vision.
Now. Here's the thing about Ben.
There aren't many people you'd trust with Carlotta's heart. He was one of them almost immediately. He's never once tried to change her. He's never competed with her. He looked at every version of her, even the beautifully chaotic ones, and quietly loved all of them. She's become more herself with him, not less. And that is rarer than most people realise.
From Glastonbury tent-building chaos, to the Tour de Four Seasons on the LA 21st, to marathon training, to Monaco paddocks, to market stalls with Ben's dad. This woman has always been strong. Determined. Clear. Unapologetic. She doesn't drift into a life. She builds it.
So today we raise a glass not to bury exes. They buried themselves. We're here for everything she's leaving behind. The second-guessing. The settling. Carrying the weight for two. And the idea that she ever had to accept less.
Because she doesn't anymore. She has transparency. She has honesty. She has someone who meets her strength rather than competes with it.
Carlotta 2.0 is not softer. She's sharper. Calmer. And somehow even more bloody certain.
So we raise a glass.
To the chaotic years that trained her. To the instincts that never failed her. And to the man who finally matched her energy.
May the red flags rest in peace. May the boundaries remain firm. May the standards stay sky high.
The legal bit is done. Palma is in September. But tonight is ours.
To Carlotta. Main character. Trend forecaster. And, finally, exactly where she's fucking meant to be.
